Modern cameras are opportunity and quality. The photographer is in control. I’ve enjoyed Nikon, Sony, Cannon and Leica. My preference for Fuji has to do with the analog camera feel and Fujifilm image profiles based on their 35mm heritage.
And these cameras are compact. So it’s with me instead of in the tent.

I’m loving…
Fujifilm GFX 100S - Ultimate medium format by Fuji. Many many pixels, classic Fuji form, weather-resistance (I have dropped it in the river).
Fujifilm X-T4 - Durable. Compact. Works very well with my eyes and hands. I have beat this body up and no issues.
Fujifiml X-100V - Very compact. Still works like a Fuji.
FUJINON XF18-55mmF2.8-4 R LM OIS - the one lens I bring because of compact size, weight and durability.
FUJINON XF50-140mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR - fast and sharp zoom that is worth carrying. I use this with the 2X doubler and increase ISO with no issues handled.
FUJINON XF14mmF2.8 R - great and sharp prime wide angle lens.
I mostly shoot handheld however the Gitzo Traveler and Gitzo Mini Traveler are the best.
Peak Design straps and clips are essential. What good is a camera if it’s not ready? The clip alone has changed my photography. This system solves the problem of having your camera in a backpack and therefore not accessible for the quick shot. I put the clip on any pack and am usually ready for moments. Add to this the weatherproofing of Fuji X and you will get more images.
And finally, my iPhone. It’s a real camera that is always with. Just remember it works best in bright light and don’t use the digital zoom!!
